Burt's Bee's Lip Balm xx

I love lip balms!
I was a bit of a lip bitter as a kid so cracked lips are all too familiar to me!

This product, on the other hand didn't really tick any boxes for me.
I was kinda of interested in the fact that this balm is made from Bee's wax, and I loved them minty smell. But I DIDN'T like the allergic reaction that I had.
I have seriously never had an allergic reaction before. Not to any cosmetics, not to essential oils, not to food, nothing. So I found it kind of weird that I was allergic to this! I'm not even allergic to Bee's!

I know a friend who is very similar to me, she has no allergies, yet she is allergic to this.
I have no idea, but I honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

It's not a creamy balm either, which makes it hard!
Feel free to give it a shot though, but it's nothing I'll ever buy! Thank god I got it for free of Granny! No wonder she gave it away so quickly! ;)

Glamazon Bronzer xx

So I got this bronzer at Big W for roughly $10, I think it was on special :/ Don't quote me on the price haha! But I adore this bronzer so much!

It has come with a really nice shimmer gold dusted over the top. You can't see it now as I have used that layer :) I loved it, alright?

I mainly use this bronzer as a blush though as I don't really bronze my legs or face often. I found that this works amazing as a blush. Especially with the nice Golden Layer which was there.
The only thing I would like to change, is maybe for the bronzer to be split into 3rds and be 2/3 bronzer 1/3 golden shimmer :) That would be amazing!

This bronzer is the best, and for only $10 at the time, it was a snag! xx

Silkymit for Feet xx

On Friday night I had my graduation dinner for Year. 12!
I had so much fun, but as usual I was stressing about my feet in heels.

I hate ugly feet. I cannot stand it when they are dry, hard skinned and ridden with Callus's.
Before the dinner Mum and I were taking a looksie through the Chemist (I was meant to be buying celeb tape) and found Silkymit for Feet on the shelf for $6.00.

I had used the silkymit hair removal one before and was rather happy. So I was excited to see this one :) I used it on my feet after I got out of the shower, and there was a noticeable difference! I was so excited that I handed the second one to my Mum (who has always had hard skin on her feet) and well lets just say, she is on the lookout for more!

These are great as they are easier to use, and are more flexible than a file or stone.
PLUS they exfoliate your beautiful feet :) I will be recommending this to anyone that asks!

Also this is great to use, and to then lather your feet in Nivea Cream, put socks on the go to sleep :)

Huggies Baby Wipes xx

For some reason, recently. I have had a noticeable change in my skin and I have incredibly sensitive skin! To the point that I had to stop using ordinary face wipes.
Before you jump to conclusions, I don't have a baby. I actually use these on my face!

These baby wipes in particular work perfectly on the face.
And they also work well around the eye area with no red eye after math.
I buy the large refill bags from Big W for roughly $19.

This is a cheaper and less frequent way of buying baby wipes (in my opinion).
I buy huggies Cucumber and Aloe Vera baby wipes.
They have a slight fragrance. So they still smell great but minus the irritation.
And before you ask, it smells like watermelon :) om nom nom!

Since you can't just use refils straight from the bag, I have this little click shut baby wipe container.
I holds roughly 16-25 baby wipes. and fits into the handbag well :)

I love using Baby Wipes as an alternative to Face Wipes!
They are cheaper, can be bought in bulk, and work just as well.

How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes xx

So I will admit..
It was only around when I started to learn about make up artistry that I actually started to clean my Make Up Brushes. I didn't really (and still don't) wear it to school, so it took them a couple months to get feral before it got to the point that I just threw them out.

I probably spent around $100 a year on make up brushes! Now that I look back on it, I regret wasting my money, when I could of had a nice expensive set and had kept it for a few years and saved my money! haha or just brought more clothes!

Their are a few important reasons why you SHOULD clean your brushes, so I will explain it in a simple way, so that anyone can understand..

Basically, they will hold bacteria in them. Dirt, dead skin cells, make up etc. In my case, being a sensitive skinned person. I found that my brushes got really course and didn't work as well after a couple weeks, and it actually made little cuts on my face which got infected from the bacteria in my brush. I only recently found out that dirty brushes were the reason why! Pree disgusting!
But it is important to clean them. I have a lot of scars on my face as Karma for it now!

Brush Cleaner ~ Wasp Hair Online Store$12.00

There is a lot of talk from make up artists saying to use brush cleaner (Like the one pictured above) or a brush cleanser, and yes it is true, but it's not all you should do and to be 100% honest, those brush cleansers are a waste of money.

Also, there is a difference between Cleaner and Cleanser. A cleanser is what they say you should wash your brushes in, and a cleaner is to sanitize in between washes.

Twice a week, I will clean my brushes with Shampoo and Conditioner. I will then rest them on the bench in the bathroom, with the bristles hanging over the edge. It will prevent them from drying with the bristles on an angle or a flat side. They SHOULD dry over night, if not a little bit longer.

Except for brushes that I use with liquids. Since most liquids like foundation, and lipsticks, they are waxy. It gets stuck in the bristles, and the longer you leave it, the harder it will be to clean, and in most cases you will have to throw them out. So I will wash them every 3 days but go over them with a Brush Cleaner after every use.

As for the use of brush cleaner. Use it after every use of the brushes. Simply spray on a tissue and rub the brush over it lightly, only just enough to get some of the colour off the tips of the bristles. This will sanitize your brushes. Which reduces the amount of bacteria on the brush.

Models Prefer Lipstick

It's been a little while since I picked up my Models Prefer Lipstick.
But well, I have used it to death, and loved it!
It no longer looks like this haha

I love Models Prefer Lipstick. It's a nice smooth lipstick, has a nice gloss finish and best of all, it has a nice sweet candy smell! <3

It's just such a great lipstick to own!

Lee Stafford Mini Hair-Care Pack xx

I brought this little pack from Lee Stafford a few months ago as I wanted to try a new hair care range. I hadn't previously used Lee Stafford prior to buying this mini range.
I loved this as the pack is only $7 from Priceline, which meant I could try lee staff cheaply instead of blowing $14.00 per bottle!

This mini pack includes a:
Dry Shampoo
Dehumidifier
&&
Heat Protection Spray

First of all.
I love the packaging! It is adorable. I love my cosmetics to look girly, so I love the choice of pink and white. It is girly whilst also being basic. I hate complex designs. So this fits all of my loves!

Secondly.
All of the products work as intended! The Dry Shampoo has a nice smell, which doesn't make you cough up a lung after spraying, and also does get rid of the oily areas well. Although since I have dark hair, it left a white after-mark, which I may opt for the dark hair one next time.
The heat protection spray left my hair shiny after straightening, and doesn't cause my hair to look dry and brittle after a good straightening sesh.
And since I'm prone to frizzy hair in the wind, I was quite surprised at how well the dehumidifier works as well! No more frizz in humid air :)

Nicki Minaj Inspired Looks xx

If you follow our Facebook page, you may of already of seen these photo's!
It was only two days ago (Thursday), I was sitting down studying and well.. Studying is boring!
I was listening to a bit of Nicki Minaj, and I got a bit inspired!
I love colours, and Nicki is a very colour orientated person.
Hence why I chose to incorporate colour into my look!

As you may notice I generally stick to colour on the eyes, I am a bit sick of doing that, so I decided to put my BH Cosmetics Lip Palette to good use! And have a little bit of fun with colored lips!

Orange has been perking up lately in the lip colour world. Which makes in no surprise that I was just busting to try this new trend out. Orange only works with few people, and well, I would love to wear this out again somewhere! Orange works better with my complexion as opposed to a red or pink. And it's a little different as well.

And in this photo I have chosen to do a half lip colour using contrasting colours pink and red.
I was happy with this as it is a little different to traditional lip techniques.

Well that is all for this post!

Foundation Brushes x

So every now and then, I have decided to post up, a post of different types of make-up brushes and cosmetics so that you know the difference between things and how to use different tools!

I'm starting off with something that I use every day! And that is Foundation Brushes!
I prefer to use brushes over fingers as brushes, are easy to clean, and easier to sanitize! Which means no nasty bacteria swapping between uses by friends!
Also, then you wont have to wash your hands after applying Foundation.

A typical foundation brush will have a half oval tip. Like this:

*These aren't to scale.

The price of a Foundation Brush can vary, but for a good quality cheap brush, I recommend that you visit: Crown Brush Online Store

When applying Foundation, always remember to blend from the nose out, and to have light coverage on the forehead. I will be posting up "how to care for your makeup brushes" soon, so keep an eye out for that if you want your brushes to last longer.

Foundation brushes are a great tool to have. So be sure to include one in your kit!

**These photo's are not of my own. I thank all that I have used the photo's of.

Models Prefer Blue Eyes Tutorial Palette xx

I am the queen of Palette's! I love them! They make life so convenient!
So today I decided to try something a little diff and picked up this tutorial Palette by Models Prefer! The good thing about this Palette is that it has both a day and night look! :) YEW!
So as you can tell above, there are instructions explaining how to create both day and night make-up! And below it had the instructions also on the palette! :)

The instructions are simple to follow, so this is the idea present for that particular friend that wants to try something different, or the younger sister who isn't very experienced with make-up !
I love the fact that the instructions are there! But remember my beautiful ladies, that you don't always have to follow the instructions!

So these 3 are the colours for the day make-up.
It is a very natural look! I would have to say that I did love this look a lot better than the blue!
The colours of this look are much easier to blend, and has a really nice smooth finish. I actually love number 1. It's such a nice soft natural colour, and very good for colour bases! And the highlight colour has so much shine to it! :) Definitely a win!

The right side is the Smokey Eye!
I wasn't very happy with this. The blue is very hard to blend and wears off quickly! Which is a shame because it's such a beautiful blue! I love the white of this side though! It's a nice shimmer, and blends well. But I did find the number 2 a very ugly colour and didn't blend well with the blue at all!
Now you know why I love the natural look the best hehe :)

And the other little treat that came with this was a mini eyeliner!
I have to admit, I don't think this is a soft enough pencil for the water line though :(
But it worked well on the upper lid and showed up fine on the colours! But this still doesn't mean that I'm parting from my beloved Gel eyeliner haha! Sorry Models Prefer! <3

My Summer Necessities!

Yay! Summer is almost here, and the warm weather is starting to set in :) woo!
So getting in the spirit of Summer, I decided to show you some of my few Summer time favorites!

Number 1/3 is a very big favorite of mine!
It's the Le Tan Aftersum Aloe Vera Gel! I only found this one a couple days ago, and isn't very expensive at $2.00 at Priceline for a mini tube!
This aids the healing process of sunburn! As I currently have rosy red sunburnt cheeks, I find this product very useful as it cools my cheeks!
Aloe Vera is great for the sun, so I suggest you make one of these an essential in your beach bag!

So I have been a lover of Nivea Cream for a while! But always found it irritation to take a tub of it in my handbag, and tubes always ended up squirting open!
So I was extra happy when I found this baby at Priceline! I got this for $3.69, but please keep in mind that this is the current sale price!
It is 75mL of cream, and is the perfect size for the handbag or beach bag! And the tin is just soooo cute :) I loves it muchly! The cream is soo nourishing for the skin as well!

The last one is one of the most favorite thing I own! I go through a tube a month!
Lucas Paw Paw Ointment is amazing!
It isn't like most Ointments, as it doesn't have those stupid lumps.
It is a nice smooth and consistent Ointment!
It is very nourishing for dry lips, which I love as I always have dry lips! This one is $6.19 at Priceline! :) xx

Garnier Fructis Heat Protection Cream xx

Just about everyday I am either straightening or blow drying my hair.
Which it's why it came at no surprise to me that my hair started drying out on the ends.
So on a hunt for protection for my hair, I came across this!

Most traditional ways of protecting heat from hair, is to use a spray.
But countless times I have had the sprays steam up and burn my head.
It isn't that fantastic I must say.

This is a very noticeable difference between sprays and this cream.
When you jump out of the shower, and towel dry your hair.
Rub some of this baby in your hair!
You don't need too much! Probably a squirt roughly the size of a 20c piece.

This will then protect your hair from blow drying!
And then continue to protect your hair when you continue to then straighten, curl, crimp etc.
You don't need to add a second amount, unlike a spray! and no more nasty burns on the scalp! :)

This lasts around roughly 72hours, it's anti-frizz, anti-static and anti-humidity!
So it's 4 products in one! Which saved me buying other products as well!
This really did work for me! I had pretty stubborn hair, and after straightening my hair looked lifeless. Now with this product, my hair is noticeably smoother after straightening!

And this is enriched with Phyto-Keratin and Argan Oil!
Be sure to buy this one !

Browtician Tweezers xx

Tweezers are something that I used and go through constantly!
Either from loosing their grip, or a family member decides to flog them!
I'm always buying new ones!

Whilst taking a shop through Priceline in Hamilton, I found these beauties!
They were roughly $15, but I bought them to give them a shot.

I love the grip that these tweezer have on the hairs.
And they come in all different shapes and sizes!
From pretty ones, to small ones.
I chose the ones with the combs on the end!

They come in a little storage box (not pictured)
Which is soo convenient as it has a mirrored background for touch-ups on the go!

The Aromatherapy Co. Hand & Body Lotion xx

I am a fanatic when it comes to lotions!
I have a fair few types actually.
So as anyone could imagine, when I got these from my Grandma for Chrissy, I was over the moon and excited. Haha I just love them.

The first one is a Lavender & Rosemary blend.
It isn't entirely my favorite so I don't use it.
It smells very natural, and don't smell like it is chemically overloaded.
Which is nice. :)
But as this one tends to smell more like my Nan's house.
I steer clear of it. haha.

The second blend is Rose & Patchouli.
I have no idea what Patchouli is, but oh well. This one smells much nicer than the Lavender and Rosemary! :)
Once again, it smells really natural, and this one reminds me more of those Fruit Tingle lollies! It smells so sweet and nice. I love it :)

Cedel Hairspray x

When I go to school, I always wear my hair in a bun.
I hate it when my bun falls out, or hair falls in my face etc.
It's just plain annoying!

I always use hairspray. It's something I am constantly running out of.
I never opt for home brand sprays. That's just like rule in my Beauty/Hair Care Bible!

It was only about 2months ago that I tried Cedel Hairspray.
I know it's been around for a very long time (my nan has used it her whole life) but I had never tried it!
I mainly got into Cedel as it supports Breast Cancer Awareness.

I really love the Cedel range. Both Pink and Green Can.
They hold very well, and don't have that awful chemical smell when you spray it that just makes you want to choke! Cedel is my fave hairspray and always will be :)

LOL Glitter Cream Eye Shadow's x

So it was yesterday and I was having a little shop around Horsham with my Mum after a Design Technology Lecture in preparation for Year. 12 exams. Woo! Not much longer of Year.12 now my lovelies! :)

I went into K-Mart and found this cute little cheap glitter cream eye shadow.
It cost me around $3 and it's by a brand names LOL

So above pictures is the inside of the mini palette.
I wasn't expecting much from a cheap brand but surprisingly I was actually happy!
I love Glitter, and these cream's make it so much easier to apply.
The glitter is distributed throughout the cream thoroughly, the colours come up well.

This is a swatch of the Glitters. From lightest to darkest of the two different colours.
