Catwalk by TIGI Styling Cream Review xx

If you remember recently, I received a bag from Lust Have It.
One of the products I have received in my Lust Have It bag, I have been super impressed with and loved it. Therefore it deserved it's own blog post.

I don't really do much with my hair daily. Chuck it up in a bun and wear it like that, mummy style.
So I don't use this product on myself. In the time I have had it, I have used it once on my own hair. You are all probably reading this thinking "well how does she know it's a good product then?"
Well let me explain then.

Every single week my step-daughter is home, I do her hair for school.
I would prefer think knotty hair over hers.
It is fine, not much of it etc. and because it is so fine, you need to do her hair up tight in the hair tie so it doesn't fall out, but even then, by the end of the day her hair would be all over the place.

About mid-way through 2nd term, she started complaining that she would get headaches from having her hair tied up, so I knew it was time to find a different solution. So I started my hunt for products that would keep that hair up, without having to tie it tight, and would not effect her eczema.

I have used multiple brands of mousse, styling creams, gels, hairspray, and well everything under the moon. Some affected her eczema, others weren't strong enough to hold it up, and so forth.

So when I received this product, I was at the point of giving up. Now I have my holy grail product for her hair in the mornings. I can braid her hair without it falling out, her pigtails wont fall out, her pony tails wont fall out. I only have to use a small amount and brush it through.

This product has been a lifesaver for me. I don't need to treat her hair for nits every second week because her hair has fallen out, and she has caught them. I am one very very happy step-mumma.

I hope you have enjoyed this review.
And hopefully may help you in regards to your own hair or your child's hair.

MS Readathon :)

Hello everyone,

This year myself and Xander have decided to do the MS Readathon.

Multiple Sclerosis is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects over 23,000 Australians. Did you know?
* The average diagnosis of MS is 30 years old.
* MS affects three times as many women as men.
60 Minutes for MS is a one-day fundraising event.
The MS Readathon event raises funds for people living with multiple sclerosis through providing services and support. MS aims to minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affected by the disease, their families, carers and the community by offering a wide range of assistance, services and equipment.
MS Australia's goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their full potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure. Please DONATE by clicking on the link below and help MS Australia to help all people affected by multiple sclerosis.

If you could please take the time to donate some money for Xander and his reading journey for MS, it would be highly appreciated!

If you leave your name on the donation I will do a shout out to everyone to thank you all on behalf of Xander :)

Thank-you to:

My first Bellabox! ♥ ♥ ♥

So yesterday I received my first ever Bellabox.
I got offered to try a Bellabox, and of course I could not pass this opportunity up!

For those who have not heard of the service, it is simple.
For $15 a month, Bellabox will send you a box with samples of products to try each month. Simple.
So if you like to try new products, it's worth it. If not, well then so be it.

The first product I got was a sample size of Dermalogica's Clear Start Foaming Wash!
I love Dermalogica so I was very happy to see this little sample.

Next is the St. Tropez Self Tanning Foaming Bronzer.
I don't normally tan, I was always so worried about being Orange.
I was happy to try this though.
I used it last night, no orangie look, no streaks, no stains on my hands.
A beautiful tan and will be a repurchase.

I got the Phytomer wrinkle correction cream.
I will be passing this one onto my Mum but happy to see they are thinking of all age groups :)

Vaseline Anti-Aging. Smells really nice. Something that is cheap at Priceline but still happy to see it.

Now Naturalus Paw Paw. I like Paw Paw Ointments, so am always happy to try a new one.

I was very excited to see this.
I have heard both good and bad things from a lot of beauty bloggers.
This being one of the latest innovations in Mascara.
I will do a blog post on this one soon.

Lastly lash cards. These are to be used when applying mascara so that you don't get mascara streaks on your eye shadow or below your eyes. A very good concept. And very happy to see these in my box.

After receiving this, I am highly considering subscribing to this box.
If you have enjoyed this, I have a banner on my blog for $5 off your first box.

Hope you have enjoyed this post :)

Essence Lipstick in 08 Colour Crush - First Impressions

For a fair while now, I have owned a fair few Essence lipsticks, and I love them.
I love the packaging of these little guys.
They aren't big and bulky like other traditional lipsticks, and I love the print on the lipstick.
The tubes are very simple, and the sticker on the bottom is just your traditional lipstick sticker.

The lipstick is very creamy, so far so good.
I find the pigmentation to be slightly lacking, which I find great for daily wear.
Especially with a pink like this. It isn't an in your face pink.
These are around $4-$5 AUD in Priceline Australia, which is a very good price point in Australia.

The lipstick doesn't make my lips show it's dry side something chronic, although I have noticed that when paired with a lip liner it does.
So far I am very satisfied. The colour isn't a normal colour I would choose. I am not a huge fan of pink lipsticks. I more so love my nudes and purples. But I am very happy with this shade!

Once again, thanks for reading guys :)

Tutorial - Brown Eye and Pink Lip

I love a nice brown eye more than anything!
And I now I have a new way that I do this beautiful look.
Also to clear this up, I have had very horrible skin lately, and I do not like heavy Foundations as it makes the issue worse in my personal case, so these problems will still be slightly visible through my Foundation.

1
I first used a concealer over my lids and under the eyes. I used a slightly lighter tone than my skin to highlight under the eye, which was also pink based to help cancel out my bags under my eyes. I did not set this with powder as I will be using a cream product on my lids.

2
Then I filled in my brows. I always do this step before my shadow to frame my eyes.

3
Then I used a Maybelline Color Tattoo in 25 Bad to the Bronze as a base all over my lids. I have applied this roughly as it will be blended later in the process.

4
I have now contoured through the crease of my eye, I used MAC Espresso eye shadow for this.

5
To set the lid and add more of a pop of colour, I used a brown pigment over the lids

6
I then applied my Mascara lightly for a more natural lash. Just used what you are more comfortable with, but I used Maybelline Define a Lash Mascara.

7
I then highlighted roughly on the top of my cheeks and the apples of my cheeks. I was only rough with this as I use cream highlighter under my foundation. I used the Australis Highlights in Pearl.

8
I have now applied my foundation. I stippled my foundation on for a more flawless finish.

9
I then set my foundation with my Kett Cosmetics Translucent Powder

10
I have now used my Face of Australia Contour & Highlight Kit in Glamazon to Contour below my cheeks, and add a bit more Highlight to my cheeks, cupids bow and nose. I have also contoured down the sides of my nose.

11
I have also used a nice coral coloured blush on my cheeks

12
To finish off, I have used my Essence Lipstick in 08 Colour Crush to add a nice pop of pink. I normally don't wear pink lipsticks but have quite enjoyed this lipstick.

I hope you have enjoyed this look.
Would you wear something similar or the same?

Maybelline Colour Tattoo's xx

Yesterday I picked up the Maybelline Color Tattoo's.
I got the colours 20 Painted Purple, 25 Bad to the Bronze and 40 Tenacious Teal.

When purchasing in store, I was really disappointed with my local Priceline.
All the swatches had dried up, and because of that, I purchase because of colours that "looked nice" and I will explain why in a minute, why I was disappointed.

I love the packaging kind of. I have found a lot of the packaging labels were very off center, more so the ones on the bottom, which I did not take a photo of, oops. This is really due to mass production. I hate it though, as a blogger, products I love and blog about, I want to showcase them at their best. No biggy, but I do love they fact they are glass pots.

I love these a fair bit as eye shadow bases or just alone. Once it's on, it's set and doesn't budge.
Yesterday, I walked down the street with it, and with the minor sweat, no budging. Even removal with eye makeup remover was a bit hard to make it budge.

I was really really happy with my brown and blue colour, BUT I wish I had the chance to swatch the purple in real life properly. I love the shimmery-ness in these, which is half the reason I got them. I will be using them as a lid colour.
In the pot, it looked like a gorgeous deep purple. When I got home, It was nothing like it.
I had almost no shimmer like the blue and brown, and I actually found the purple to be a bit patchy during application. It was nothing like the other two.

You may not be able to tell in these photo's but in the pot it looks to be a nice deep phantom purple. Once I swatch or use it, it goes almost to a lavender colour. I have also noticed that it loves the little lines in the skin, and I had to layer it to get a good colour.

I will see how I go with this product a bit further down the track.
If it doesn't improve within the next couple days I will be returning this product.
In my full review, I will post how I have gone with this certain colour and whether I have returned it or not.

Face of Australia Duo's in Minx and Leopardess

If you follow me on Instagram, then you would of seen that a couple days ago I brought these Face of Australia Duo's for $9.95 each from Priceline. I got suckered in by the packaging. Now I wish I hadn't.
I was looking more for Retail Blushes and Contours as I really don't own many from Retail lines.
I have like one Revlon Blush, and an Australis and Revlon Highlighter. That's it.
When I seen these, I loved the packaging, and the colours looked great in the pan.
The pink one, was a pink I wouldn't normally choose, and I brought the contour as I normally just don't contour but I want to start trying it again.

Minx

Blush and Highlight Kit

Out of the two, I am really disappointed in this duo.
Personally, with my skin colour, there isn't much colour pay off.
I was really not happy. The formulation is great, it is very smooth, and doesn't smell weird or overly potent, but I am extremely not happy about the colour.
I think this one would be better with fairer skin tones. Not tan or dark.

Leopardess

Contour and Highlight Kit

Leopardess is a lot better than Minx.
Not overly pigmentented but a lot better than the blush and highlight duo.
This is perfect for the beginner who is learning contour or just for a light contour.
With the highlight, I love it! The highlight in Leopardess almost compensates for the lack of pigmentation in both of the duo's. So smooth in application, and reflects light very well. I am really happy with the Leopardess Duo.

Once again, thank-you for reading everyone, and have a good day!

My thoughts on W7 Naked Nudes Eye Shadow Palette xx

So today I am talking about the W7 Naked Nudes Eye Shadow Palette.
I brought this one off of eBay from a reputable seller.

The colours of this palette aren't 100% high in pigmentation.
They are very light which makes it so easy for the heaviest of handed person to create a nice light fluent nude look.
This is perfect for the workaholic or student.
Even perfect for the Mum who wants to make a trip to see friends.
I got this for just a little under $10

The colours blend so well, and feel very silky.
I love this for everyday use and has already been added to my makeup bag.

Purple Eye Tutorial

So today I am finally sharing my post on how I did this Purple Makeup Look!

So firstly I have used the maybelline super stay 24hr concealer as pictured above all over my lids.
This will help to create an even surface and hide the veins under the lids.

I have then used three shades. I used the darker purple which is in the first photo through my crease.
I have used the Black from the second photo on my outer v (outer corner in a v shape) to darken the crease line creating more depth and to smoke it out so the colours don't look "flat"
I have then used the lighter purple from the bottom of the 3 photo's all over the lid.
Then I used the dark purple and light purple mixed together on a angled brush to line my lower lash line. Make sure you get as close to the lashes but not on the waterline!

I have used the Essence eyebrow pencil, as pictures in the very top photo, to fill in my brows.
I used the Models Prefer Black Eyeliner on a Bullet Brush to smoke out my colour more on the upper lash line near where I placed the black eyeshadow.
I have then used my Model Prefer Brow Highlight for not my Brows, but my water line to brighten my eyes. Last but not least, I used a Mascara. I have used the MaXfactor Masterpiece MAX.

I have then used a mix of my Garnier BB Cream and Maybelline Fit Me Foundation to create my base.
I used this on a pointed foundation brush.
I blended lightly from the nose outwards.
I forgot to picture this, but I set my base with the Kett Cosmetics Translucent Powder.

I have then used my Revlon Blush in i think 050 Berry Rich

Then for my lips I used my Klara Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lips in 02 with a Models Prefer Lipstick over the top in Fresh Faced.

I hope you have all enjoyed this look!

People for Plants - Full Review xx

Recently, I have been getting myself out there to try some new products.
One of the brands I had spoken to was People for Plants and they were so kind enough to send me a few products! :)

About People for Plants

People for Plants is an Australian, certified organic skincare range that works to help combat women's skin issues associated with climate, age and sensitivity.
It aspires to the highest level of certified organic functional ingredients, sourced globally for their high potency and purity crafted into superb formulations at an accessible price point.

People for Plants are also cruelty free as well as organic. Bonus if I must say so!

People for Plants Body Cream

I received the Sweet Almond, White Tea and Macadamia Body Cream.
The key ingredients of this Body Cream are Sweet Almond Oil, White Tea, Australian Cold Pressed Macadamia Nut Oil, Aloe Vera, and Shea Butter.

I love them smell of this. I can really smell the Tea. As weird as this sounds, it smells natural. I love that. It is really hydrating. I use it on my legs after a bath/shower. A little bit goes a long way so it may take me a while to use the full tube. It has helped with keeping smooth legs. After applying it isn't greasy, which is an added bonus! YAY! Overall, I love this product!

People for Plants Hand Cream

I received the Lemon Myrtle, Camellia and Manuka Honey
The key ingredients of this Hand Cream are, Shea Butter, Camellia and Manuka Honey.

If you follow me regularly, then you know I love my hand creams, and it's very hard to get a good one past me. And this one passes my test! It absorbs quickly without the oily feeling afterwards. I can actually drive a car after using it! It smells so good, and moisturizes so well. 10/10 for this one!

People for Plants Body Scrub

I received the Papaya, Quillaja and Apricot.
The key ingredients of this Body Scrub are Papaya, Quillaja, Apricot Kernel Oil, and Apricot Seed Scrub.

I have a big issue with scrubs tearing my skin. I don't know why, but they do. My worst experience with scrubs was on my face with Clean & Clear Morning Burst.. Ouch! I use this on my legs once a week, to get rid of dry flaked dead skin cells and preventing ingrown hairs.
This product has been great! It doesn't abrase my legs. Which is amazing!

Overall

I love People for Plants. They have won me over and this will be my go to beauty brand from now on. I will most likely even be including these in my Bridesmaids boxes.
